As part of FX Agency I worked as a Technical Artist on a project celebrating the Top Employers Institute Certification. Using Unreal Engine, I created several fully immersive 3D environments and animations. I modeled the environments inside of Blender, importing them into Unreal Engine to set up materials, animations, and lighting.
To create the immersive experiences, I used Unreal Engine’s timeline tools to choreograph the animations and camera movements in real-time. This allowed us to quickly iterate on the experience, making changes on the fly as needed. Additionally, the real-time rendering capabilities of Unreal Engine enabled us to create high-quality 3D renders at a fraction of the time it would have taken using traditional rendering methods.
One of the most technically challenging aspects of the project was the personalization of the experience. With the use of Blueprints, we were able to import personal data into Unreal Engine and use it to customize the experience for each individual user. This included placing textures, names, and videos inside the virtual worlds in real-time, giving each user a unique experience tailored to their individual profile.
In addition to the immersive experience, I also worked on setting up a system to automatically generate thousands of personalized videos. By leveraging Unreal Engine’s real-time rendering capabilities and scripting languages, we were able to render and deliver these videos to users in a matter of seconds.
Overall, the project was a technical and creative success, showcasing the power and flexibility of Unreal Engine for creating immersive and personalized experiences.
